Guided Bear Hunts
Our guided Bear Hunts are one of the most action packed, exciting hunts we offer! There is nothing more exhilarating than walking a canyon, with a well-trained pack of hounds, and hearing them open and trail out on a bear track.
We primarily use hounds to harvest Bear, and have a greater success rate in doing so, but we are not opposed to hunting off of bait. We use the latest in GPS tracking technology with our hounds which allows us to pin point their location. Taking bear this way is as quick and as ethical as other methods.

Obtaining a Black Bear Permit in Utah
Utah’s Black Bear hunting application usually opens in early February, and closes after about three weeks. Results become available in early March, and hunting opens in the same month!

Aside from the annual Black Bear draw application, they are additional ways to obtain a permit in Utah.
Conservation Permits
Conservation permits are auctioned for Black Bear hunts in Utah each year. These permits are provided by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. They are designed to raise money for multiple conservation groups such as Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife. Therefore, these permits are 100% tax deductible. Not only do you get the financial benefit from purchasing these permits, but your money is used to help Utah wildlife.
2022 Western Hunting and Conservation Expo
Another way you can obtain a Utah Black Bear permit is through the 2022 Western Hunting and Conservation Expo $5 permit application, which is now open. These applications must be submitted online ONLY! You must validate your application in person between February 10-13, 2022 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Apply today, then plan on coming to see us at our booth when you validate.

There are a few ways to obtain a bear tag in Utah:
– Through Utah’s bear drawing in February.
– By purchasing a 100% tax-deductible conservation permit.
